This one really makes me laugh. Her expression fits with my stereotyped image of a dour housewife from somewhere in Northern Europe, Flanders perhaps. She looks like she should have bonnet and apron on – and those feet!
Actually: that is the stereotyped image I have of housewives in Eastern Europe, in rural areas.
Amsterdam is Northern Europe too! (and no more than half an hour drive from where I live!)
How wonderful to have watched this confident, young adult chicken grow from a helpless little peep, all through your regular drawings. The heft of its body, the awareness in the eyes now. Really cool work!
Since I don’t have any chickens yet, it is reallly great to be able to see these drawings. They’re so detailed and really bring out the chick’s personality. Great work!
